1. About Buildr
Buildr is a marketplace platform operated by Buildr Trades, accessible at buildrtrades.com. Buildr connects customers seeking tradespeople with independent tradespeople seeking work.
2. Marketplace platform only
Buildr is a marketplace platform only. We do not employ tradespeople, provide any trade services, or act as a contractor. We are not responsible for: the quality, safety, or standard of any work carried out; any disputes between customers and tradespeople; the qualifications, licensing, or insurance of any tradesperson; any loss, damage, or injury arising from work arranged through the platform. All tradespeople on Buildr are independent and solely responsible for their own qualifications, insurance, licensing, and legal compliance.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Buildr. By creating an account you confirm you are 18 or over and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
4. Customer accounts
By posting a job you agree that all information provided is accurate, you have authority to commission work at the address provided, you will communicate honestly and respectfully with tradespeople, and you will not misuse information provided by tradespeople.
5. Tradesperson accounts
By registering as a tradesperson you confirm that all information including qualifications and insurance is accurate, you hold all necessary qualifications and insurance required for the work you offer, you will communicate professionally with customers, and you are responsible for your own tax, VAT, and legal obligations.
6. Lead system
Tradespeople purchase credits to unlock customer leads. Each lead may be unlocked by a maximum of 5 tradespeople. Credits are non-refundable once used. Monthly subscription credits reset each billing period and do not carry over. Purchased extra credits do not expire for 12 months.
7. Payments and subscriptions
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Subscription fees are charged monthly or annually in advance. Buildr reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Refunds are at Buildr's discretion and will not be provided for used credits or completed billing periods.
8. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Buildr to post false or fraudulent listings, harass or abuse other users, circumvent the platform to avoid fees, share another user's personal information with third parties, or use automated tools to scrape the platform.
9. Privacy
Customer addresses are stored securely and only shared with tradespeople after a lead is accepted. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Termination
Buildr reserves the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these terms without refund.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buildr's total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to Buildr in the 3 months preceding the claim.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
